Dr. Usha Hari
Dr. Hari is a native Californian who grew up in the East San Francisco Bay Area. A first generation Indian-American kid, whose parents are from Southern India, she maintains a love for very spicy Indian food.
She attended the University of California at Davis, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Physiology. During her undergraduate studies, she developed a particular interest in eye-brain connections, which prompted her to pursue Optometry. She attended Southern California College of Optometry and earned her Doctor of Optometry degree (OD) in 1997. Wanting to further delve into the field of ocular disease, she completed a residency in Primary Care/Hospital-Based Optometry at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Sepulveda, CA. Her progressive move down the California coast landed her in San Diego, where she spent more time in the VA system and in refractive surgery centers.
After having two premature babies who are thankfully in good health, she was inspired to learn about nutrition as it relates to gut health and sensory integration. In her spare time, Dr. Hari likes to volunteer at her children’s school, craft, read, and spend priceless quality time with her family.
Barbara – Office Manager/Insurance Specialist

She is a recent transplant from the Oklahoma City Vision Source office and has earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Health Information Systems from the University of Phoenix. Barb brings with her nearly a decade of experience in the optical industry and is cross trained in all areas of the office. Her work behind the scenes as the office manager for Lemon Grove Optometry has created an atmosphere of efficiency and harmony. She is enthusiastic and committed to providing our patients with compassionate care. When away from work, she loves going to the beach and exploring all that San Diego has to offer with her husband Nick and their two boys, Gabe and Niko. Barbara had her nearsightedness and astigmatism corrected with LASIK in 2007.
